The clutch arm assembly 700746530 connects the knotter clutch linkage to the knotter drive on Massey Ferguson and Challenger large square balers. Each tie cycle the arm swings the clutch into engagement for exactly one revolution of the knotter shaft, so its pivot bore and clevis ends have to stay tight and square or the clutch will grab late and release early.

An elongated pivot bore or a worn clevis shows itself as erratic tying, a clutch that stays partly engaged and heats up, or a knotter that runs on after the bale is finished. Replacing the whole arm rather than just the bush brings the linkage geometry back to specification and removes the play that makes the clutch chatter under load.
